Freddy kept "Don't Stop Me Now/ Mr. Fahrenheit" in my head and in my dreams for a whole week, and so my tribute.

I designed this little Tuktuk so Polly could be the best pet groomer all around town.
 

Popcorn pops and the sign bounces as Polly and her friends push the cart all around the amusement park.

Polly can cruise up and down the Amazon in her amazing glass bottom boat.

Umbrella spins and ice cream pops up and down as the cary rolls through the amusement park.

I created the MH alphabet for this activity and art directed the look and animation.

I think the thing we overlook about zombies isn't their cannibalistic undeadness, it's their endless insatiable hunger.
It's like that thing where you eat badly for a week and then is occurs to you that "Damn! I really want an orange right now!" only there aren't enough oranges in the whole world and the oranges you crave are the brains of your friends and loved ones.

I wanted these witches to look like animals. NAILED IT!
I made an interesting discovery, Faber Castell's color "Sanguine" is different from my notion of sanguine. See, Sanguine mean "bloody" to me. But this ink appears to be "Rusty". Unless true sanguine is the color one finds on their shirt collar after a bad shave. Then it's right on.

Tana Leaves man! He just wants some tana leaves.
I'd seen mummies in museums as a kid. It felt wrong that some dead dude was propped up there on display.
His family thinks he's a set for eternity in a nice warm dark chamber under the sands, waitin' for his Ka to come and visit.
But no. Tour buses of kids and teenagers bangin' on the case and giggling. Halogen lamps in your face, all your bits and canopic jars set out for all to see.
I'd be pissed too!

Well not quite. But I wanted to draw the opposite of Frankenstein the First. Exploring the P.O.V. and I found the stitches were more dramatic if they were geometric.

I went all cartoony for this illustration. This got way more attention than my other drawings. This tells me I need to do more silly kid friendly art and so I shall.

Can't forget Halloween Ghosts! Ghosts aren't interesting unless they are really really sad. You can keep your Poltergeists and your happy hauntings. The best phantoms always wear the tragedy mask.

That elevator full of blood was a powerful visual, 
as were the twins. Definitely stuck in my mind forever.

It seems like a good deal. All the gold and fish your little sea village needs. You can 'totes deal with the fish men hanging around the reef.
Even the bit about worshipping old gods is okay as long as the hot dishes are there after the service.
But having to Netflix and Chill with a fish girl is pretty oogie. It'd be like french kissing a dolphin. PEE-YEW!

Not technically Halloweeny but definitely part of the season in spirit.
Krampus comes to town during Christmastime. He's the Anti-Santa.
I think Santa's Naughty and Nice List would be much more significant if he had a Bad Cop partner. A lump of coal is nothing compared to being abducted by a demon and whipped for your misdeeds.
Having a toddler of my own this would really help me establish the paramount importance of finishing those vegetables and going to bed on time.

Village of the Damned kids. They would've gotten all the best candy. No NECCO wafers for them. 
I wanted to draw the mediocre kids costumes of my childhood. We have really raised the bar in the last few decades for Halloween costumes. I could get away with being a hobo then. We didn't even know what a hobo was! Some kind of clown, right? But now with all these puffed up super heroes and transforming robots you army man costume wouldn't pass muster. 

I'm doing a disservice by not throwing color on this. Hang Tight I do have a colorful candy spider illustration in the works.
I love how spiders evolve into wonderful shapes and colors. I've seen beautiful vibrant and GIANT spider in the tropics and I've seen the ones that are camouflaged as flowers, but why couldn't our humble household web slingers evolved into cute and cuddly? Is there any evolutionary benefit to getting smashed by a boot?

The best costume I ever saw was this bloody nurse. My friend and I were in New Orleans and hit Bourbon Street on Halloween Night. There were devils and Popes and Frankensteins and monsters and Vampires everywhere. But the only person who couldn't get a simple Hurricane and drink it in peace without a photo every five feet was Bloody Nurse.

This is an odd composite of creatures found and inspired by medieval bestiaries and the color pink.
